From a market stall in Bangkok to your back pocket.
Wanta Leather exists because one traveller refused to accept that the best-made wallet he ever held was seven thousand kilometres from home.
One traveller. One standard.
Karol Krakowski is an entrepreneur from Poland. On what was meant to be an ordinary vacation in Thailand, he wandered into a leather workshop and stayed for hours — watching hides get cut by eye, stitched by hand, and burnished until the edges shone like glass.
He flew home with a single wallet and a conviction: this quality should not require a plane ticket. Wanta Leather is that conviction, made in leather.
How Wanta came home
The discovery
A vacation detour into a backstreet workshop. Hides cut by eye, seams sewn with two needles, edges polished for as long as it takes. Karol stayed until closing time — and came back the next morning.
The apprenticeship
Weeks of watching and learning from artisans whose families have worked leather for generations. The lesson was never speed. It was patience.
The return
Home in Poland with one suitcase, half of it leather. The first Wanta wallets were cut on a kitchen table and given to friends who refused to give them back.
The house
Wanta Leather bridges two worlds: Thai craftsmanship and European design. Every piece still passes through human hands — and through Karol's.
Made slowly, on purpose
“Quality is not a market position. It is a promise you make with your hands.”Karol Krakowski, founder
