Privacy Policy

Wanta Leather ("Wanta", "we", "us") makes wallets, not data products. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit or buy from our store, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it as plain as the leather we work with.

1. Who we are

The store is operated by Wanta Leather, founded by Karol Krakowski and based in Krakow, Poland. For any privacy matter, write to privacy@wantaleather.com.

2. What we collect

• Order information. Your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and the items you purchase. We need these to fulfil your order.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments and the payment providers you choose at checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
• Account information. If you create an account: your email, name, and order history.
• Device information. Browser type, IP address, time zone, and the pages you view, collected through cookies and similar technologies so the store works and so we can understand how it is used.
• Correspondence. Messages you send us, so we can help you and keep a record of the conversation.

3. Why we collect it

• To fulfil orders: charge payment, arrange shipping, provide invoices, and handle returns.
• To communicate with you about your order or your questions.
• To send our newsletter — only if you asked for it, and every message includes an unsubscribe link.
• To screen orders for fraud and keep the store secure.
• To understand how the store performs and improve it.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (fulfilling your order), consent (marketing emails, non-essential cookies), legitimate interests (fraud prevention, store analytics), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

5. Sharing

We share personal information only with the services that make the store run: Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment processors, shipping carriers, and our email service provider. Each processes your data under its own agreement with us and its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information, and we never will.

6. Cookies

We use cookies that are essential for the cart and checkout to work, and, with your consent where required, analytics cookies that tell us which pages are read and which are ignored. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may break checkout.

7. Retention

Order records are kept for as long as tax law requires (in Poland, generally five years from the end of the tax year). Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to the processing of, or delete your personal data, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Write to privacy@wantaleather.com and we will respond within thirty days. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority; in Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

9. International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers rest on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

10. Children

The store is not directed at children under sixteen, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, the date at the top changes with it, and material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect.
