“Half my office carries black leather. This is cork, patterned like a Lisbon wall, and it has outlasted two of their wallets already.”

Cut from real cork bark, so every wallet carries the grain of its own tree. Yours will differ slightly from the photographs — no two harvests, and no two Douros, are alike.

The story
Named for the river that carved Portugal's terraced valleys, the Douro is a long cork wallet for men who want one considered thing in the pocket: real Alentejo cork skin, a gold-tone zip, and a cork snap tab that keeps the day shut.
Three printed patterns — Azulejo tiles, folk Roseta medallions, and fado-dark Fado paisley — over natural cork grain. Inside: card slots, a long bill compartment, a phone sleeve, and a central zip pocket. Cork is vegan, water-resistant, and harvested from living oaks that grow their bark back — and because every sheet carries its own grain, no two Douros are alike.
Materials
Natural Portuguese cork skin, harvested from living oaks in the Alentejo and pressed onto soft backing. Gold-tone zip-around closure. Caramel vegan-leather interior with card slots, an ID window, and a central zip pocket.
Dimensions
Approximately 19.5 x 10 x 2.5 cm. A long wallet with room for a phone, a passport, and a working day — closed by a cork snap tab over a gold zip.
Care
Cork is naturally water-resistant and wipes clean with a damp cloth. It softens and deepens in tone with use, like a good wine.

Cork is bark, and the oak forgives.
In the Alentejo, cork oaks are undressed by hand every nine years — the bark peeled away in sheets while the tree stands and grows it back, for two hundred years or more. No felling, no waste, no apology. It is the gentlest luxury material on earth.
Kind by nature

Patterns borrowed from tiled streets.
Azulejo tiles, folk rosettes, and fado-dark paisley — the three Douro patterns are printed onto cork the way Portugal decorates its cities: boldly, and to last. Choose the one that feels like your street.
“Weighs nothing, holds everything, and the snap tab means it never yawns open in my jacket. The rosette pattern gets comments weekly.”
“Bought it as a vegan compromise. Kept it because it is simply a better wallet than the leather one it replaced.”
