Satin-stitched by hand in a Hmong workshop. Your wallet's plumes will curl a little differently from the photographs — no machine could repeat them, and neither can the artisan.

The story
Fire, in thread: crimson and scarlet plumes over deep indigo, satin-stitched edge to edge until the canvas vanishes beneath them. The Hmong call this work paj ntaub — the flower cloth — and it takes a workshop day and a lifetime of practice to lay down one panel this dense.
Zip-around closure with a red pom-pom on a wooden bead. Black cotton interior with eight card slots, two bill compartments, a phone sleeve, and a central zip pocket. Every flame licks its own way — yours is one of one.
Materials
Dense satin-stitch embroidery in silk-sheen thread over black cotton canvas. Zip-around closure with a pom-pom pull on a wooden bead. Black cotton interior with eight card slots, two bill compartments, a phone sleeve, and a central zip pocket.
Dimensions
Approximately 20 x 10.5 x 2.5 cm. Carries a phone, a passport, and a full day of business without losing its line.
Care
Spot-clean with a barely damp cloth. The satin stitch keeps its sheen for years — let the pom-pom have its fun.

Paj ntaub — a language in thread.
The Hmong call this work paj ntaub, the flower cloth: feathers, ferns, and blooms laid down in satin stitch so dense the fabric disappears beneath it. Patterns pass from mother to daughter; no two hands write them the same way.
Loud by hand, quiet by design

Stitched until the canvas disappears.
Run a thumb across it: the surface is thread, edge to edge, raised like a relief map. This is boutique work — hours of stitching per panel, bought directly from the workshop, chosen piece by piece for the fire in its colors.
“The embroidery is so dense it feels armored. Half wallet, half tapestry. Mine has a curl in the plume the photos do not.”
“Took me a week to stop treating it like art and start using it as a wallet. It survived the demotion beautifully.”
